  7. AVPLite - is a "lite" version of the powerful AVP anti-virus scanner.
  8. AVPLite is executed from the command line prompt only, and supports
  9. all the AVP features including virus disinfection.
  10.  
  11. This package is distributed as SHAREWARE. You are free to use AVPLite
  12. for a evaluation period of 30 consecutive days afterwhich, you are
  13. required to pay a registration fee.

  16. NOTES:

  18. 1. Only REGISTERED AVPLite version is able to disinfect the viruses. The
  19. not registered version may detect the viruses but not disinfect.
  20.  
  21. 2. Check the AVPLite sub-directory for the database configuration file
  22. (AVP.SET), and anti-virus databases (*.AVB files). AVPLite will not detect
  23. any viruses without the AVP.SET and *.AVB files. See below to
  24. obtain the latest updates of the AVP.SET file and *.AVB (anti-virus
  25. databases).

  57. When started from the DOS prompt AVPLite supports the following format:

  61. Path - any DOS path, * or *: - all hard disks

  63. Name - wildcards * or ? - Default is executable files.

  68.  /P  skip MBR test               /H  disable heuristic analysis
  69.  /B  skip boot sector test       /U  disable unpack

  76. The results of virus scanning are available in return codes (DOS Errorlevel)

  81.   3 - Suspicious objects were found
  82.   4 - Known viruses were detected
  83.   7 - File AVPLite.EXE is corrupted

  89. If you have found a new virus which is not detected by AVPlite please send
  90. a sample to your nearest AVPLite distributor. You will receive a special
  91. anti-virus database in few days.
